Embossed motifs/ Chocolate metallics

Here is a finish I created by troweling plaster through a stencil creating an embossed effect. Then, layers of metallic paints are applied all over, to make this dinning room an elegant retreat.

Adding color to niches

Before: Anemic niches holding lonely sculptures

After: I created a copper colored plaster finish that is applied as a backdrop for the art. The niches have a more striking effect, in contrast to the pale wall color, and now create an artfull focal point.

weathered cabinet finish with gold accents

This multi layered, distressed finish was applied on a vanity in a clients powder room. A special plaster product is heavily applied in different colored layers to acheive this textural, shabby chic finish. Gold metallic accents help dress up the final look.

"chipped paint" cabinet finish

For this project we applied a "chiped paint" finish, and glaze, to a custom built kitchen island. The island is made of sturdy alder wood. Hand applied, 9 layers of stain, distressed paint and varnish make this finish unique to the alternative "factory" finishes. The olive color and aged finish, give a warm contrast to the white cabinetry in this newly remodeled kitchen. Please click image to enlarge.

Rustic strie finish

This finish is what I call a "rustic strie". It is a layering of three varying tones of a paint color and applied in a sort of vertical method. It can have the look of old crumbly plaster, or like a water stained wall depending how it is applied and which colors you use.

race car mural

alas, another mural. This year has been full of mural jobs! This one was painted for a 4 year old boy who had a race car bed. This was a two day job. I was able to produce this mural within the clients budget, and exceeded their expectations as well! I had a blast creating the surreal dessert landscape and the "baja bugs" racing in the background.

powder room mural

This mural is in a clients powder room. The walls were smooth coated my me, then the mural is hand painted in acrylics. This is still in progress...lots more to add.

tuscan gold kitchen

Here are a couple pictures of a kitchen we faux finished in rich golden tones. this was about a 3 layer finish with some random crackle here and there. We accented the tall arched windows, and the crown molding with custom designed stenciling.

I painted this mural in a home theatre room. This project took 7 days.

A ceiling mural in progress. I have completed most of the wood grain and started some of the rosettes, which are stenciled. I still have much more detail to do.

Media Room Ceiling Mural

This project is going to be a fun mural on the ceiling of a home theatre . The ceiling measures approximately 20'x 12'. I will be painting what is going to look like intersecting wood tone beams on a red leather surface. Here is a picture of the room as we are setting up.
